- “This Park Is Wonderful!”
It was our first family camping experience and the staff here made it perfect. The grounds are huge, so much to do - kayaking, water park, playground, swimming pool, jumping pillow, cart hire, site fires ... The amenities are well appointed and kept very clean. Just an awesome place and can't wait to come back again next year.
- “Great Place To Visit”
Wonderful park, has everything to keep kids busy. Water fun park, outdoor movies, dual bikes to ride & a wonderful HUGE jumping pillow that the kids will love. Kangaroos & wild ducks that come onto the lawns late afternoon. We stayed over the long weekend and it was packed but still quiet with plenty of room, beautiful amenities...so clean, great management. It is situated just outside Yamba & is amongst the sugar cane fields. Almost forgot, a river down the back for fishing. PLUS cabins for families. Great place!!
- “I Can’t Recommend This Park Enough.”
When we arrived at the park the staff we very help full. Sadly on our first night there our oldest dog Molly past away. When I talked to the staff the next morning there were every help full in letting us know where to find a vet so we could have our pet cremated and sent on to our next distination.
In the mean time my wife needed medical help for a leg infection after a fall. They were very helpful in keeping our site for extra days so that my wife could get medical help. We really enjoyed our stay at this park and I would NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS PARK for any one to stay at. I hope in the near future to come back and stay here to go fishing.
The staff were very friendly and help full. the park is very well kept, maintained. The water works is a great area for the kids, and the boat ramp for those who want to go Boating. Once again I can't recommend this park enough. THANKS FOR THE HELP AND GREAT SUPPORT AT A DIFFICULT TIME. BOB, JOAN
- “Impressed With The Size Of The Campsites”
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the park, especially the fact our four legged family were most welcome. Its very hard to find a park that caters for all members of the family and makes you feel so welcome, and is not over run with rules. I also was very impressed with the size of the campsites. A great spot we will be regular visitors and have already referred friends to visit too.
- “A Peaceful Oasis Away From Traffic Noise”
Our family of 5 stayed for 2 nights in our camper trailer. The park has spacious grounds perfect for bike riding, and our kids enjoyed kangaroo spotting at night. The water park was awesome and we loved the use of the free kayaks and retro games machine in the TV room. We stayed out of school holidays and were very impressed with the facilities and management.
- “What An Incredible Park!”
What an incredible park! Right on the Clarence River in a quiet location tucked away from any main road noise. We enjoyed a huge site with plenty of room for the dogs. Very well maintained, free kayak hire on the river, excellent showers (we all know how hard it is to find great water pressure at a caravan park these days!) and very friendly staff who were always keen for a chat.
Great park for kids with plenty to keep them busy (including a water park) and excellent for couples with plenty of quiet sites & private cabins. For the wild life lovers, enjoy kangaroo's & birds everywhere you look! Great phone & tv reception also a bonus.
Very reasonably prices compared to other parks in town. If your happy to travel 7 mins to get to town, then this park is well worth the drive. Thanks Saltwater Big 4 for a great week 🙂
- Great Space…We Are Coming Back
Great space, we camped with power. Clean amenities, beautiful gardens, pool clean water park excellent for the kids. Plenty of sitting area around pool and waterpark for parents who want to just relax. Enough space so you don't feel you're sitting in people's laps. We were there for 7 days. Met lots of people from around the world while cooking on the BBQ's. We are coming back. Yamba about 12 minutes down the road with great beaches and views to die for.
- “Amazing Experience”
This park was recommended to us by Bruce at the Maui RV rental place in Brisbane. We did not know what to expect as it was our first time in an RV on holiday - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. This is a very beautiful location, right on the Clarence river. Staff on site are very relaxed and helpful. The site is very clean and we'll maintained. We had a great time kayaking on the river (free) and having a fire by the RV. Unfortunately, we burnt the jacket potatoes in the fire! I can't recommend this place highly enough.
- “Very Friendly Service”
We stayed in one of the Figtree Cabins for a night. The service was excellent - a real standout of the stay, and I feel beyond my normal expectations of nice service. The cabin of very a high standard. Everything we needed was included. The kids loved the large water playground with waterslide. If I lived local, I'd definitely pay to use it (day visitors are allowed). They also had a lovely time on the flying fox and jumping pillow.
- “Lots Of Room”
Lots of room, not like sardines. Quiet at this time of the year which is what we want. Free wifi clean amenities and very kind staff. Lots of other grandparents to chat with and the washing machines are clean! River access and easy short drive into Yamba or Maclean which is the easier town to be in and get a park. Plenty to interest. Yamba is VERY squishy.
- “WOW, Make Time And Just Go!”
- “Best time!!!!”
We are staying in Figtree Cabins...having a fantastic family holiday. Kids love the open space to run and all the parks activities. Park is kept clean and maintained. Little ones getting more and more confident each day swimming in the pool. Kangaroos everywhere it's great! Jumping cushion is great but not so for mum who's uncoordinated ; 0). Best time!!!!
- “Lovely Spot On The Water”
We loved our weekend at the Yamba BIG4. The children loved, loved. loved the jumping pillow, the flying fox and the water park. There was a ramp for the boat and we kept warm at night next to our camp fire. Showers were hot and amenities were clean…and there was even a courtesy bus to take us all into town for lunch. Camp kitchen was excellent. We can't wait to come back! Thanks for the great weekend.
- “Fantastic Family Caravan Spot”
We had a great time at BIG4 Yamba. The kids loved the water park and jumping pillow. The facilities were clean and of good standard and the staff were so friendly. The park is located out of Yamba so not walking distance to the beach, but it's only 10 minutes away. We will definitely return to the park!
- “Clean, Comfortable & Wonderful – We’ll Be Back!!!”
- “We Will Be Back”
Love this park, the figtree cabins were great. Fantastic views over the grassed area to the river, kangaroos every morning just outside our door as well as ducks and other birds. Small playground just near the cabins as well as flying fox, jumping pillow and water park. The kids had a fabulous time and were exhausted by all the things to do and we had only scraped the surface of activities to do. Already planning to come back when we get a chance.
- “We Had A Spot On The River”
- “Delightful Cabin With A Very Rural Outlook”
We saw the sign and as members of BIG4 thought we'd stay the night. The park is a bit off the beaten track. We stayed in a delightful cabin with a very rural outlook including lots of birds and kangaroos, and were very comfortable indeed. The park offers a wide range of facilities for travellers such as us, through to caravanners and backpackers. Beaut spot.
- “The Best Place To Stay For Families”
Everything you need to keep the kids happy while parents can relax or participate we always have a great time this was our 9th year in a row simply fantastic. Love the water park, my kids love the river also with canoes available or simply to swim in. The jumping pillow is another great way to keep kids entertained while you sit back and relax.
The fact it's not in town is also great no through traffic no noise from passing traffic no street lights. The night sky looks amazing while sitting around the campfire. The Staff are always friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to ensure our stay is always what we expect.
The sites are nice and big to allow plenty of room for everyone. We always look forward to getting there and reluctant to leave. I have even recommended other friends to stay there it is one of the best.
- “Our Kids Had An Absolute Ball”
My husband and I spent the long weekend here with friends and our three young children, 3, 5 & 6, our kids had an absolute ball. They spent the whole time riding their bikes, jumping on the jumping pillow and playing in the water park. They got to enjoy the wildlife, go fishing and watch the stars while sitting around the campfire. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly, and the park is well maintained. We highly recommend it here, and we will defiantly be returning in the very near future, this time for longer.
- “We Will Most Definitely Go Back Again.”
My family and I got back yesterday from 6 nights camping in the forest area. It was beautiful. We saw a lot of wildlife including an albino kangaroo! My kids thoroughly enjoyed the jumping pillow and saltys cove. All the staff are super friendly and very helpful and the coffee is AMAZING. We will most definitely go back again.
- “Something For Everyone”
This is a fantastic spot with something for everyone in our family. There is a real sense of tranquility sitting amongst the sugar cane with visits from kangaroos, bandicoots and a myriad of birds yet you are only a ten minute drive from shops at Yamba. Our kids loved this place with the flying fox and especially the amazing waterpark where they spent every afternoon. We are travelling around Australia and this is by far the best caravan park we have stayed in on our six months on the road to date - a real credit to the friendly staff.
- “Truly A Great Holiday”
After a terrible start to a group family holiday, we were forced to change our booking from one caravan park in town to the BIG4. The staff at big 4 were extremely friendly and accommodating and arranged 3 adjacent camp sites and a cabin close by for us all to stay in (4 families plus kids!).
It was a blessing in disguise!
Although it's a bit of a drive out of town, we all had an incredible stay. The kids had a ball playing in the open green fields, exploring and watching the Kangaroos near by, the water park is great and even though it was really wind and cold, the kids still ran into the water and had a play. Not many holiday parks give you an option of sitting around a camp fire but big4 certainly fulfilled our stay and we were able to have nightly drinks around the fire while the kids slept.
Truly a great holiday and will certainly return again soon. So thank you to the other holiday park because if they hadn't had been so rude we wouldn't have left...
- “We Recommend It To All Of Our Friends”
This is the second time we have been to BIG4 Saltwater at Yamba and both times we really enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely park with lots of lovely lawned areas. It is nice and flat and the amenities are 5 star. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to go back again and we recommend it to all of our friends. Well done BIG4 Saltwater.
- “Loved it”
We stayed here for 3 nights in a two bedroom cabin, it was fantastic, the cabin was spacious, comfortable spotlessly clean and very well equipped, this is a great environment for adults and children, there are plenty of facilities, waterpark, jumping pillow, flying fox and a playground enough to keep the kids and adults occupied, there's plenty of good fishing. The staff were all great especially the grounds man who went out of his way to help. We'll definitely be back here again
- “Had The Most Amazing Long Weekend Here”
Had the most amazing long weekend here. We had the tent site across from the jumping pillow which was great for kids. The kitchens, bbqs, all facilities were fabulous one of the cleanest parks i have been too. Very helpful staff and happy to help in any way possible.I will be returning for our next family holiday.
- “Best Campsite We Have Stayed In”
We are travelling from Cairns to Melbourne, camping the whole way, and have stayed in Big4's all the way down. I can definitely say this is the best one we have stayed at! The price is cheaper than most, and definitely worth a stay.
The park is situated just off a river, which makes for beautiful views and amazing sunsets and sunrises. The amenities were the best we have seen, and are very well maintained. Yes there are a few bugs, and kangaroos around, but you are camping in Australia so you have to expect it.
The staff are very friendly, and gave advice on where to visit on our way down to Melbourne which was very helpful, and we had a nice choice of which site to stay on at the camp site.
